Artists for Alina – Consciousness | Palazzo Barolo, Turin, 2022
In 2022, I participated in the third edition of Artists for Alina, an annual exhibition project by the Alina Art Foundation, initiated by artist Sanda Sudor. The exhibition took place at the historic Palazzo Barolo in Turin and centered around the theme of ‘consciousness’.
Curated by Davide Silvioli, seven artists — including myself — presented new works or reimagined existing ones, each exploring the idea of consciousness through their own distinct visual language. Although diverse in background and medium, we were united by a shared engagement with this complex and layered theme.
My contribution was part of a broader dialogue between painting, drawing, photography, installation, and video. The exhibition aimed to offer a rich, multifaceted interpretation of consciousness, embracing diversity and depth. A parallel public program, featuring musical and poetic guided tours, invited visitors to experience the works through sound and spoken word, opening up new ways of connecting with the art.

In 2022 nam ik deel aan de derde editie van Artists for Alina, een jaarlijks expositieproject van de Alina Art Foundation, bedacht door kunstenaar Sanda Sudor. De tentoonstelling vond plaats in het historische Palazzo Barolo in Turijn en draaide rond het thema ‘bewustzijn’.
Onder curatorschap van Davide Silvioli brachten zeven kunstenaars — waaronder ikzelf — ieder vanuit hun eigen discipline en achtergrond, nieuw werk of hernieuwde installaties samen. Ondanks onze verschillende artistieke ‘alfabetten’ waren we verbonden door een gedeelde verkenning van het begrip bewustzijn.
Mijn bijdrage maakte deel uit van een bredere dialoog tussen schilderkunst, tekenkunst, fotografie, installatie en video. De tentoonstelling zocht naar een veelstemmige interpretatie van het thema, waarin diversiteit en diepgang centraal stonden. Naast de expositie werd een aanvullend publieksprogramma georganiseerd met muzikale en poëtische rondleidingen, die een nieuwe manier boden om de werken te ervaren via klank en taal.
